The older I get the more I realize that I am in fact the spawn of my parents. Gone are the days of teen angst where I swore that I was not their child, and I swore even more profusely that I would not mature to be anything like them.
Lo and behold, and the ripe age of 20, I am them. I am hand writing recipes into what has become my own eclectic selection of dishes (my mother has as many cookbooks as a the Cordon Bleu, and collects recipes everywhere she goes), all the while Dylan is on my iTunes. Many a car rides when I was little were as accompanied by my father’s love for the folk singer as my tears for him forcing me to listen to it.
Funny how life turns out.

because life is already too short.
and wasting time undermines the purpose of living.
