Because this day/week/month/year isn’t going quite as I had hoped/planned, and because forgetting the words to my favourite song would be a lot easier to swallow, and because if the sky were to open up and rain would just fall and fall, I wouldn’t be so sad.
I think that is the first GaGa video that I’ve watched without thinking “whatthefuck was that” when it ended.
I think that is because
a) I was watching it on 240p (thanks to my lousy web connection), and obviously the oddities can only be picked up in HD
b) She’s lost her shock value, and mermaids are no longer avant garde
c) I’m totally biased because this has been my favourite song off of Born This Way since before it was released
